The Porter's Vision of the Funeral Galley

MacLeod's seat, probably Dunvegan (Martin does not name the place)

Before 1703

A few months later MacLeod, with relations and others, went to the Isle of Mull. There, some days after, Maclean of Torloisk happened to die, and his corpse was carried to its burial place in the galley. MacLeod's relatives were on board for the funeral, while MacLeod stayed on shore and went along with the corpse after landing.

The porter's vision was therefore fulfilled in a different way than he expected, with a Maclean for the dead man.
